Why are all of your question anons.. I don't get it. If you want to challenge me about my faith, go for it. But I do love face-to-face conversations and religious debate. I actually like, love it. And I love you too! Good job answering your questions. <3
“The human heart has hidden treasures, In secret kept, in silence sealed; The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, Whose charms were broken if revealed.”—Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte (via c-threepio)
Do you think people who are genuinely good, kind-hearted people, but don't believe in God go to Hell?
That’s a really tough question and for me, I’m still struggling with this concept. I have relatives who I love with all my heart, who I know are genuinely good, kind-hearted people and are even, arguable, live “better” lives than Christians.
So in all honesty, I don’t know, I really wish I did.
But you just said not all prayers are answered, and then you said yes they are, just indirectly. So which is it? They are or they aren't?
Technically, the prayer is not answered because what the person was seeking wasn’t given to them but because God listens, He is there to help deliver them through.
And to your other message, a bit of patience will be greatly appreciated. Also, time stamp shows that you posted both messages at 8:22pm (my time) which means you didn’t even wait before messaging me that.
"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." So shouldn't all prayers be answered?
Yes, you will recieve when you ask and seek but perhaps it might not be exactly what you had in mind.
For example, if you ask for God to take away your problems, He might not actually do that, but instead He will give you the strength to endure the problem, He’ll place people who love and care about you by your side to guide you along; He might not deliver you from the problem but He will definitely deliver you through it.
“The truth is, as much as we complain about it, we are drawn to hurry. It makes us feel important. It keeps the adrenaline pumping. It means we don’t have to look too closely at the heart of life. It keeps us from feeling our loneliness.”—The Life You’ve Always Wanted (via mighty2save)
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”—Henry David Thoreau (via troubled)
